When the mountain forecast looks like rain, grab the Men's Maitland GORE-TEX® IA Waterproof Jacket. The 2-layer GORE-TEX® shell will keep you comfortable and protected come rain or shine.
GORE-TEX® keeps the water out, and an insulating fleece will keep the warmth in. The great thing about this waterproof jacket is that you can zip in any InterActive (IA) Berghaus fleece to the attachable system to really seize core heat.
Engineered with a GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane, the 2-layer construction allows air to circulate around your body without letting water seep in.
Each GORE-TEX® membrane is made up of 9 million clustered together pores, making it impossible for water, sleet or snow to penetrate your coat. So, think less drowned rat and more cool cat. Quickly pull up the hood and tighten the elastic cuffs for instant shelter from the elements.

Measuring tips:
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, making sure to keep the tape under the arms and around your shoulder blades.
WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of your waist (natural waistline).
HIPS: Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part.
INSIDE LEG: Measure from the top of your inner leg, along the inside seam to the bottom of your leg.

Maitland jacket
Nice jacket and has proved waterproof, however the zips are of poor quality and fragile. The zips on the pockets jumped teeth within 12 months. Unusual for Berghaus
Deluge proof
Wore jacket for 2 and half hours during a continuous downpour in Sherwood Forest and clothing underneath remained completely dry. Hood has great coverage too. Excellent jacket for an excellent price.
Excellent and comfy
A excellent and comfy jacket I used to have a North Face jacket but when I walked a lot in it I found I sweated a lot but this Berghaus Jacket with or without the fleece in it no sweat at all I recommend

I was intending to buy the Cornice, but preferred the fit of this instead. Tried it with my Activity IA fleece and it kept me toasty warm. Looking forward to seeing how waterproof Gore-Tex is!

The Jacket is very...
The Jacket is very suitable for what I wanted, however when I viewed it in your Ipswich Shop, I thought that it had press studs all around the Hood !, because then I would have been able to take the Hood off completely, but it is a very minor point !, Quality overall Very Good as are most of Berghaus products !..
Works well as a waterproof but the pocket zips are cheap and flimsy. Not designed at all to be used with gloves on, which seems odd considering the brand. Pocket zips are very small and break easily.
