Berghaus Men’s Expanse Mid GORE-TEX® Walking Boots

Lightweight. Main reason to buy was to have dry feet when dog walking. Sadly they leaked from new. Also when wet the damp exterior seeps to inside when supposedly drying, so next morning inside damp. Take a long time to dry.

I have owned these for nearly 2 years and after uses in various weather conditions and terrain they have become problematic.
Advantages: Very lightweight and breathable which makes them ideal for long hot walks. They provide good ankle support despite being lightweight. when they are wet they dry out quickly. durable - only starting to experience small problems where the foot bends, have withstood rocks and vegetation well. a good set of sturdy lightweight boots.
Disadvantages: ARE NOT WATERPROOF. as soon as they become saturated they leak water and store water. Debris gets in the boot easily

In keeping with some of the other reviews, these boots soon lose their waterproof qualities. They fit nicely out of the box, but with daily use on gentle terrain (but wet grass), my feet started to get wet within about 10 weeks. The search for a decent boot continues…

A very lightweight and comfortable walking boot but not waterproof ☹️☹️

I bought these boots around 2 years ago, but don’t use them often. The light weight and name were the main selling points but also GoreTex. Recently been taking a dog for a walk and they let in lots of water, even just on wet grass. I expected much better.

On the positive side, lovely and comfortable walking boots, which served the purpose superbly ......but for only about ten months, They started leaking at first through the fabric above the toe and then through a rift between the sole and the upper. In fairness, Berghaus have offered to refund the cost and I will try to buy a more robust pair this time. I like Berghaus products, but this one let me down. Good of Berghaus to do the refund, though.

Great boots until they start to leak, then they're useless. Had them for 9 months of moderate use and they now leak. My foot gets wet walking through wet grass. It's a shame as otherwise they are nice boots.

Excellent quality, comfortable and waterproof.

Bought as a present - comment received comfortable, lightweight. Good grips on slippery surfaces.

Item ordered as a gift on 28th November still waiting for them to arrive date now 19th December!

Comfortable so far and time will tell for the longevity of the boots.

Only had them a couple of weeks. Bought for general use during winter in Scotland. Comfortable and dry so far. Usually go for gortex but these got good reviews.

A nice comfy boot .. seems to be waterproof so far.

Laces are far too thin, having problems with my hands & fingers grasping items, I find it
difficult to pull the laces tight enough.

Bought these online looked good quality as most of Berghuas gear is, though too narrow fitting for me, so had to send back.

In the week or so since they arrived I've walked about 5 or 6 miles each day in them and I'm happy that they will be as comfortable, and hopefully longlasting, as their predecessors, also Berghaus.

Perfect boots for weekend walking with the dog.

Product looks good and feels comfortable

Too narrow for me, although great quality, will be returning these. They are probably right for someone else, just the difficulty of shopping online.

Quality product: good value for money.
