Very comfortable but not waterproof for long!
These boots have been incredibly comfortable and warm through the winter, with very good grip. I bought them in October and is now May, 6 months and they are no longer waterproof. My toes, on both boots, get very wet, I’m very disappointed as really like the boots. Guess I will only wear them on dry days from now!!

Ok boot for the money
Had a pair of these 7 months now.
Very comfy, great ankle support, not very waterproof though. Would advise wearing waterproof socks with these in wet conditions. Seam near toe just split (approx 500miles of hiking).

For the price, these seem a well put together pair of boots which are comfortable straight out of the box. So far, I have just paddled about the house in them in case they need to go back, but all seems fine and I will go yomping in them in a day or two. Comfortwise, great - claimed watertightness, not yet tested. If this works as advertised, I'd go up to 5 stars, if not, down to 3 (as I say, they do claim to be waterproof). Will try and keep you posted, but will probably forget.

Very comfortable right away. As good as my previous pair of Peter Storm boots.As good as it gets !
Not very waterproof
Waterproof for about 10 minutes in a heavy downpour then you might as well be wearing a pair of trainers. Rubbish and certainly not capable of providing the wearer with protection from the elements if you happen to walk through puddles or be caught in more than a light shower

Terrible ripped my feet shreds promised be collected replaced two weeks later ten emails lots phone calls passed pillar post three people promised sort this but never get back me so I have repeat the whole process time time again.yet I've been blacks years bought lots pairs boots what hells happened good customer service

These will replace a similar pair that were the most comfortable footwear I owned and have eventually started falling apart after travelling the world on expeditions to rainforest, game reserve etc. as well as many muddy trails in the UK. Have only walked around the house so far but they seem equally comfortable. I really like the high ankle support - makes turning ankle over painfully much less likely. I trust they will prove to be waterproof as promised. Only downside is round laces that tend to come undone rather than flat ones, the design of the holes & hooks looks like flat laces can't be swapped in.

Good first test - White Coomb via Grey Mare's Tail. Good fit, nice heel grip, excellent lacing. Stiff hack up the waterfall path - good grip and comfortable. Stream scramble then hard hill and an easy ridge. Finished on a bog with dry feet, no rubbing. Excellent medium weight boot.
