Velocity for the climb. To hold the foot and toe in optimal position and help with power transfer from the ball of the foot to the tips of the toes, there's a Differentiated Tension System, innovative heel system and grip system in the form of an outer S-72 high-friction rubber compound.
The Differentiated Tension System concentrates power onto the big toe without interfering on the fit in other parts of the shoe.
PAF is an innovative heel system that helps spread the force of the heel tension, which also helps with over-compression of the toe box and shock absorption. Bridging the gap between the heel and the Achilles tendon is aggressive tension rubber, which indicates how much tension is applied through a hole system.
The new FKJ last has a square toe profile with quite a wide heel, so will fit a wide range of foot shapes yet maintain enough support, sensitivity and power to climb high-end grades with ease and without the usual rock shoe pain.
M50 is Scarpa's softest, most tensile rubber compound, offering the ability of being able to hang onto climbing holds with precision. This morphing rubber compound gives a Shore A rating of 50, making it perfect for use in the SRT system.
A wave strap system locks the foot in for fast and flexible closure, reducing excess layers for greater breathability.

Men's Scarpa Footwear Size Guide
Scarpa footwear is made in European sizes, which allows for a more accurate fit as the 'gaps' between sizes are smaller. Each European size is roughly 3/4 of a UK size.
As with all walking footwear, we advise moving up a size from your normal shoe size to allow room for thicker socks and for your feet to expand during a long walk. If you fall between sizes you should always go for the larger size.

Excellent gym shoes
A fantastic indoor shoe. I've had mine for about 6 months now and they're lasting really well. I had to cut the straps slightly shorter, but that's my only criticism. Super grippy. Would recommend.
Grippy, soft but for how long
Brought as a bouldering shoe. Great grip outside but slip inside when warm. Durability of the outer top is very poor. Less than three months and toes are through. Huge promise, massive let down.
Very good indoor shoe. Extremely soft! These aren't a big wall edging shoe. Bouldering & small sport only.
Size down about 1 whole size if your after that trad tight climbing shoe fit.
