These socks are ideal for walking. I suffer from sore feet and the double layer prevents discomfort. The inner lining is warm and absorbs moisture. Will purchase again.

They have changed these socks so they are not as thick and warm as they used to be and consequently not as good value. They used to be of superb quality and the double layers made the sock really thick which is the whole point of a double layer sock. Now they're not much different to a normal sock. Two thinnish layers amounting to about normal medium sock thickness. Not thick enough for my wellies although they do make a fair riding sock for use inside my riding boots. But at this price I wouldn't buy again for that purpose. Overall, very disappointed. The maker seems to have compromised on quality on what used to be a good value very thick sock. Please bring back the old style double layer sock that was much thicker and more robust!
