NOT WATERPROOF
Not waterproof
When I bought this coat it had "waterproof" in the description. Today is the first time I have worn it in the rain. The pockets were soaked through in minutes and the sleeves absorbed water and stayed soaking wet for the rest of the day. Although the inside of the coat did not feel wet, it was certainly damp and felt cold and not at all "cosy". Had it not been advertised as waterproof I'd have given it 4 stars as it fits nicely and is cosy when outside temp is down to around 8 degrees, however I have given it 3 stars as it is not waterproof. I am surprised that other reviews claim that it is.

Plenty of pockets for a mobile phone, and hood doesn't cover my eyes as some hoods do.

This coat is comfortable & warm. I'm a size 10 and I ordered a 12 as I read to size up and it fits perfect. Really happy with this coat and I would highly recommend, especially at the sale price!
Best winter coat I’ve owned
Great looking coat. The elasticated waist at the back feels like a hug keeping the warm in and the cold out. Plus it’s flattering where a belted jacket can just look bulky, the straight front and elasticated back doesn’t look or feel bulky. I went with my true size and it’s perfect with room to wear a jumper underneath too including the arms. It’s been perfect for the recent cold weather. And I removed the faux fur which is easily detachable

Light weight, warm, not...
Light weight, warm, not bulky, great hood. Good fit using size chart. At £59 I purchased both colours as I was so pleased with the coat.

It is waterproof, toasty...
It is waterproof, toasty warm and great. The storm flaps over the zip makes it waterproof there too. It will be used a lot
Another excellent Peter Storm waterproof.
I recently bought a slightly lighter Peter Storm waterproof for general use which is excellent but this one is for a bit heavier duty and is superb. The concealed pockets are very useful. Not too sure about the VERY furry hood trim but, thankfully it's removable.
Very good value - particularly since I bought it in the current sale!!

Very happy neither this...
Very happy neither this coat bought but for dog walking in the winter and has all the pockets I need plus it keeps me warm and my mobile mis safe in the pockets

Need some advice?
I bought this coat specifically because it says in its description that it IS WATERPROOF. It definitely IS NOT! I already had a shower proof coat and wanted something actually waterproof but alas it’s useless so if you’re wanting a waterproof coat, do not buy this one. It’s a nice winter coat but useless if it’s raining!
