Comfortable and they keep the wet out.
Brilliant shoes
Bought these from Millets after doing a lot of research and reading reviews. They are fantastic walking shoes, very comfortable - no need to break in. They look very stylish! Well made and a pleasure to wear.
horrendous avoid if you want dry feet
I sought a quality established brand of walking shoe with excellent reviews and above all properly waterproof. i thought these did the trick.
First issue was with UK sizing i've found these Merrel come up about half to full size smaller than expected. Thankfully Millets stocked the larger size so i was ok there. I've had them about two weeks
I went for a walk in damp ankle length grass with a couple of minutes my feet were soaked !! my socks were soaked through. the only bit dry was the ankle that was obviously out the shoe. This was the first time they exposed to water & they failed!!

Another reviewer gave only 1 * because his feet got wet. This has not been my experience. After some three years, I am well through my second pair of these shoes, after the first wore out. I've walked in them several times each week in a variety of weathers over many different terrains and they have been comfortable throughout. The only time my feet got wet was when the rain was so heavy that it ran down my legs and entered through my socks; don't think I can blame the shoes for that, though!
