The GORE-TEX® lining is fully waterproof yet remains breathable, letting your feet feel comfortable when on long walks. Vibram® Hillmaster® rubber has been used on the outsole, with this you'll have superb grip on difficult terrain to go further on every walk. The boots remain as comfortable as ever thanks to the shock-absorbing PU midsole keeping you supported and memory foam cuff and tongue adapting to your foot shape, giving you the fit you need when you’re out enjoying the outdoors.

We're good until now
I have had my Hillmaster boots for 2 and a half to 3 years. From the moment I first wore them I was impressed at the comfort and no need to break them in. Superb ankle support, warm and waterproof. Ive spent many hours in various weather's on Dartmoor. I have waxed them regularly over the time of having them using Nikwax waterproofing cream. Recommended for Gore-tex and eVent items. Today (19.2.22) I go for a wet walk and my feet were wet within 10 minutes of waking. Yes my boots have cracks in the leather from the material bending through walking but I assume they shouldn't leak.

Comfortable and grippy walking boots. Reasonably lightweight. Only worn them a few times so far so can't comment on the durability yet.

Seriously good instantly comfortable boots
These are seriously good instantly comfortable hard wearing boots. They already have done 1,000 miles in 7 months, no sign of the leather cracking and remain waterproof to walk in streams.
Question mark over durability
I've had these boots for about two years and have used them for occasional fairly easy walks and the odd climb. I've noticed that the join between the sole and the upper is beginning to fail even though the rest of the boots are in very good condition - I guess that's the weakest link. Given that my previous Berghaus boots lasted over 10 years this is a bit disappointing

The boots look well made and they're comfortable. Robust without being heavy and the good lady says she likes the look. You might have got 5 stars but at the moment I can't try them out on the hills.

Instantly comfortable, which is rare for walking boots. Look and feel decent quality - a well trusted brand made from well trusted materials. Not worn them for a proper hike yet, but trial runs have been promising.

I bought my boots maybe three years ago when I was unable to replace a pair of Hillwalkers. The new boots were an excellent fit and very comfortable for short walks across fields, preventing me from falling several times. However after a few days wear I found them very heavy on my ankles. I have osteoarthritis in both ankles and one has been fused and bolted up, the other is deteriorating rapidly. As soon as I was able to buy a pair of Hillwalker boots I reverted to them. They are in fact over half a kilo lighter and much more comfortable in my experience.
