They don’t grip on rock
Great boot
Bought these to walk snowdon in February, never had time to break in but had no issues and found comfortable from the very start. Boots gave good support and kept my feet dry as it rained continuously all day, I did beeswax leather before using and used gaiters which assisted in keeping water out but very pleased overall. Only downside was laces kept coming loose

feel very robust but...
feel very robust but feel a bit numb and clumbsy when walking in them feel a little slippy on smooth rock too

So comfortable from day...
So comfortable from day one! Warm dry feet, they fit perfectly. I was worried about leather boots being stiff but these are excellent and there is absolutely no rubbing or chafing at all. Absolutely delighted with them!!

Excellent boot
Bought these after converting to fabric boots for many years as I destroy them quickly. Warm, comfy, waterproof, walked many km in winter in them already. Very pleased. Only downside is feel large and fairly clunky so I'll probably by a pair of fabric boots for summer.
Nice looking
This boot looks nice feels nice keeps your feet from rain, feet warm from a cold surface grip is okay.. but I world never recommend this boot for any hiking over 3 miles. The soles are way too hard and unless the surface is soft as peat your going to be in trouble the boot is heavy after distance too, there's nice height and space for swelling feet but the boot is too heavy also over distance. this is a boot to wear casually but I've paid in time and great discomfort when doing serious trekking hiking walking with these I think uphill ascension grip ok but softer cushioning throughout needed

Great trail walking boot. They keep the water out and are very comfortable. A previous review alluded to the fact that they slip on rock, and I would agree.
I would highly recommend them for most environments except rock. If you venture up the mountains; wear different boots.
