Sturdy and Waterproof

Had these Country Roamer Shoes for over two years, I wear them every day summer and winter through various terrains ( I live in the country so lots of muddy fields) for dog walking and have found tham to be the most waterproof shoes I have ever had, they have never leaked. No problems with seams etc as others have reported. Excellent product.

Short lifespan

Sadly these boots show signs of wear and tear very quickly. The leather isn’t great quality and splits on the bend point just aft of the toes. I’m sure this will affect the waterproof qualities. I’m using G Wax to try and keep the water out but I feel I shouldn’t have to on a shoe that hasn’t even done 50 miles.
They are quite clunky and stiff but for some types of walking you may need that. I however think I would have been bette off with some technical trainers.

Poor stitching.

I have to sadly echo the comments of others on here. I found the shoes to be extremely comfy, well fitting and water proof, however at just over a year of less than average walking, the stitching across the front of the shoes have come adrift, she they are no longer water proof. The stitching is rapidly falling apart one once the first struck goes.

Forever shoes!

II have worn Brashers boots and shoes for over twenty five years. The build and durability has always been impressive. The Brasher Roamer shoe is smart enough for city wear and equally at home in the country. I am about to buy my fourth pair!

Ok for a while

I have had these shoes for 18months. I have walked in them 5 miles a day of rough terrain. This is what they are designed for. They where nice and water proof but after about 14months
the stitching has split making them wearable but not waterproof so will need to be replaced for the winter, poor show for £150 I think as I have had 60pound shoes last that long. Also you had to make sure you were good socks and boots where tight as your feet would slip around a lot I wont buy again as for that price I thought they would last longer.

I love Brasher shoes/boots....

I love Brasher shoes/boots. They same to fit my feet excellently and are comfortable from day one. They wear well and my last ones must have covered hundreds of miles over the several years I have owned them and are just beginning to look a bit worn. I own 3 different types of Brasher shoes and boots and have been impressed with all of them.

Good shoes, would be even better if a wide fitting available. I had to go up a size, and they are still slightly tight across the instep.

Very well built and comfortable. Bought to replace an old worn pair (not same make) so time will tell over durability. Excellent value for money especially when bought in 20% discount sale.

Dissapointment

Great walking shoes, very comfortable but all four seams burst under 18months old. Shame as I love them.

Disappointing a real let down

I have a pair of Brasher boots and use walking shoes a lot. I have previously bought Peter Storm models but the stitching has always split. I decided to pay extra and bought the Brasher Country Roamer, at first they were a tight fit and durable, waterproof and comfy. After a few walks I noticed that I would stumble and it was always on the left foo. This turned into real falls and it is always on the left, I have no problem with other boots and shoes and recently fell breaking my wrist. I do not feel confident wearing these anymore they feel sloppy and unsupportive but on the lef5 shoe only.

I have just bought my 2nd pair

I have had these shoes for quite a long time and have been delighted with them having walked lots and lots of miles in them. I noticed them in a sale and decided to invest in another pair before the item is retired by Brasher/Berghaus.

Yes I have had repairs done to them due to some self inflicted damage but also some genuine wear and tear. Having a friendly, reliable and good value cobbler nearby helps me keep them in good condition. Regular waxing has also helped.

Would recommend them unreservedly - would have helped a wee bit if half sizes were available mind.

They are very sturdy and comfortable.

obvious quality shoes, however personally think the soles are far too stiff as your heels try to lift out of the back of the shoes. good grips but too stiff!

Great fit exactly what I expected not done much walking with them yet so can’t comment on longer term.
